LIT 50
Who really books in Chicago
Introduction
A change is in the air. And following that spirit, this year we took the concept of Lit 50 and spun it on its head. We shook it up, took it for a joyride, and asked it to reveal to us, truthfully: Who really moved and shook the book world last year? What names had buzz on the streets? You'll find people who you've grown accustomed to seeing on this list no longer there; this is not for lack of respect, but because of our dedication to bringing you the most timely list of who really books in Chicago. You'll find the ratings are still there, but you'll have to search a little harder to divine the order. What you will see is a fresh way of looking at the top fifty movers and shakers of the Chicago's literary world; viewing them by respective category, selected by whether they sell books, print books, have written their fifth or first book, or rescue and recreate books. We hope you enjoy the new face of Lit 50.
