SUMMER GUIDE

AUGUST EVENTS
events | music | film

It’ll be hotter than hell, but August in Chicago offers some of the city’s best summer events—from the Gold Coast Art Fair and the Korean Street Festival, to perennial favorites like Northhalsted Market Days, the Chicago Air and Water Show and Mexican Independence Day (Festejos de la Independencia de Mexico). And don’t miss those wacky, offbeat summer gems, because you never know who you’ll see at the Elvis is Alive 5K. Note: Due to early deadlines, many organizations did not provide August listings in time for publication. Make sure to check Newcity for more events as the summer heats up.
