Three short stories of ill-fated love affairs are presented: "Words" shows an young monk who breaks his vow of silence to stand up for a young Albanian woman, Zamira, who is accused of murder; "Faces" displays a beautiful picture editor’s torn feelings between her loving husband Nick and an aloof war photographer named Aleksander; and "Pictures" ties the two stories together in the past as Aleksander is asked to take care of Zamira, the daughter of the woman he loves. 113m. $5.
