![]() Tip of the Week American Revolution 2
One of the great thrills of the not-so-thrilling (and still
undistributed) opening night attraction at Sundance 2007, "The Chicago
10," was glimpsing footage from "American Revolution 2." Mike Gray
and Howard Alk were on the teeming streets of Chicago during the 1968
Democratic Convention, shooting the events as they unfolded, in gritty
black-and-white verité fashion. Long unseen, "American Revolution 2"
is an essential portrait of a pivotal moment in this city's--and this
country's--history. 76m.
"American Revolution 2" shows at Facets, Sunday at 2pm. Facets
Video releases the DVD next week.
