You might not know Pete Heller by name, but if you've set foot anywhere near a dance floor in the last decade you've probably heard one of his productions or remixes. Heller's discography boasts some of the biggest club anthems ever released, including 1998's appropriately named feel-good house hit, "Big Love," plus several tracks produced with longtime associate Terry Farley. Heller hasn't toured much in the States, which is unfortunate because his style is simply intoxicating, with layers upon layers of big, bold basslines, tough-as-nails beats and bright melodic hooks. It's a sound that's ideal for a big-room club, so it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts to the more intimate setting of Smart Bar. Do yourself a favor and check out Heller in this rare Chicago appearance.
