Jessica Herman

When it comes to supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, showing your support this year isn't limited to simply sending a check or wearing a pink ribbon. Organized by Chicagobeauty.com and the Y-ME Illinois affiliate, a bevy of local spas and salons are offering thirty-one days of select treatments at the discounted rate of $31.

We've highlighted a few ways to feel good from head to toe and lend a helping hand: Wine & Roses Manicure, which uses a grape-seed scrub and rose oil to spice up the traditional paint job and hand massage, at Spa Space (161 N. Canal); Treat for your Feet, a half-hour of ritualistic foot reflexology at Lincoln Park Massage Spa (630 W. Webster); Brazilian bikini wax at Sinead Salon and Spa (3510 N. Southport); European deep-pore cleansing facial at Claudia Skin Care Center (845 N. Michigan); Forty-five-minute Swedish massage at Eshe Day Spa & Salon (8 S. Michigan); salt glow at Urban Oasis (939 W. North); and a single process color at Honey Child Salon & Spa (735 N. LaSalle). Check out www.chicagobeauty.com/pink for a complete list of participating salons and spas.

If facials and foot massages aren't your thing, peruse the selection at local department stores like Bloomingdale's for designers who donate a portion of their sales to research foundations. You'll especially find deals peppering the makeup counters: Stila will donate twenty percent of its sales from the new Breast Cancer Awareness Lip Pot, a $16 light pink lip tint. Donna Karan will donate $10,000 from sales for her $28 Cashmere Mist Mini Candle. Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will donate $35,000 from the sales of its $18 Ribbon Pink Shimmer Lip Gloss.
